The M.S. Program in Labor Studies LABOR RELATIONS and RESEARCH CENTER
Build essential union leadership skills in the only graduate program of its kind in the nation. Designed for working union officers, staff and activists, our Union Leadership and Administration program develops your expertise in such critical arenas as organizing, collective bargaining, strategic corporate research, and union leadership — all in a low-residency format that lets you keep working while you earn your master’s degree. Join other experienced trade unionists each summer and winter for intensive 10-day residencies under the guidance of our expert faculty — respected scholars with significant union experience. Then return to your job to build on your new theoretical, technical and strategic understanding. Program Details Format: Three-year, limited-residency program with 10-day sessions each July and January. Curriculum: Required courses cover topics including labor law, labor economics, labor history, labor research methods, collective bargaining, and union organizing.
