This course will consist of a supervised clinical practicum and seminar in a community based health care agency providing nursing service and opportunity for observation and intensive clinical experience in the area of Primary Care Nursing with families and with particular emphasis on the primary care of adults. This course emphasizes further development of the role of the Family Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care Nursing. Students are expected to synthesize knowledge and skills previously acquired into advanced clinical practice and seminar discussion, and in practice, implement selected functions of the role of the Family Nurse Practitioner.
