This course provides an opportunity to study a practical and current public health problem selected by the student. Students will apply critical thinking, analytical abilities, and communication skills that will integrate the core academic areas of public health, including biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, health policy, research methods, and social and behavioral theories. The resulting report acts as the official written comprehensive examination, the fulfillment of the culminating experience requirement, and is expected to meet specific publishing guidelines. Open to PHP students only.
PUBHLTH 540 and 565, 601 and 620 and 630 and (624 or 708 or 690A (Research Methods) or 690H) and a minimum of 30 credits for PHP students following the 36 credit curriculum and a minimum of 36 credits for PHP students following the 42 credit curriculum.
