Important Payment Information: Students do not pay for classes at the time of registration. Instead, students are now billed through the University Bursar's Office via email. For more information, please see below. Billing Information: Billing information will be sent to your UMass email account. If you do not have a UMass email account, billing information will be sent to the email address that we have on file. Paper bills will not be generated. Your payment is due by the due date indicated on your bill. Bills will not be generated on accounts with a zero balance. Please visit the Bursar website for more information. Forms of payment accepted: Cash: All payments must be made in US dollars and delivered in person to the University Bursar's Office, 215 Whitmore Administration Building. PLEASE DO NOT MAIL CASH. Check: Checks, money orders, cashier's checks, certified checks or traveler's checks should be made payable to the University of Massachusetts. Please include your name and Student ID number on all checks. Checks can be mailed to: UMass Bursar's Office Attn: CPE, 215 Whitmore Bldg, 181 President's Dr., Amherst, MA 01003. Credit Card: Bursar's Office accepts credit cards through QuikPAY after a bill has been generated on SPIRE. QuikPAY payments may be made through SPIRE by following the "View/Pay Bill" link or online at: https://quikpayasp.com/umass/bursarbill/authorized.do. Nonpayment: Overdue bills may result in administrative withdrawal and referral to a collection agency, plus collection costs. Online Pre-payment with Credit Card: If you are registering for only non-credit courses, you will be given the option to pay immediately online using your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit cards instead of being billed. If you choose this option, you will be brought to the UMass Amherst payment gateway which will process your credit card payment. After your payment has been processed, you will be returned to UmassUlearn.net. Waivers: Authorized waiver forms should either accompany your registration form or be submitted to the Bursar's Office prior to registration. The balance of class fees not covered by the waiver, as well as additional fees such as registration or curriculum fees will be billed through the Bursar's Office.
