Promoting Your Class

Recommendations from faculty and advisors play a crucial role in students’ decisions to enroll in all classes

Here are some suggestions about ways in which you can help get the word out to students and others:

• Announce your classes during your previous semester.
• Post fliers, and/or posters describing the classes you will be teaching, in your office or classroom. Click here for some customizable fliers.
• Suggest new locations for catalog distribution on campus or in the community.
• If you have your own website, newsletter, Facebook page or blog, add a few lines about your classes, and include a link to the CPE website (www.UMassULearn.net)  
• Hand out bookmarks and promotional items.
• Send an e-mail message to students suggesting they consider enrolling in your classes; be sure to include the UMass Amherst CPE website link:  www.UMassULearn.net

• Contact Program Coordinators at CPE if you need additional promotional materials.
