Universities use CRMs to manage and analyze data in order to provide better services and communications to its constituents.  The acquisition and implementation is a collaboration between Information Technology, the Isenberg School of Management, and CPE. The CRM should go live at the end of May. It is expected that a number of UMass schools and academic departments will be using Salesforce by the end of the year.

Founders Day
It was on April 29, 1863 that Governor John Andrews signed the charter to form Massachusetts Agricultural College, creating the first Board of Trustees for what would become Massachusetts State College in 1931 and the University of Massachusetts in 1947.

Founders Day was celebrated on April 27 on the Goodell Lawn. A number of CPE staff volunteered to work the tables where hundreds of students lined up to receive T-Shirts, lip balm, sunglasses and cotton candy. (It turns out we have expert cotton candy makers amongst the CPE staff!) Students were also entered into a raffle contest for the giant beach chair. Pictured below are some of the staff who helped out. Thanks to all for making it an extremely successful event not only to recognize Founders Day but also to promote summer courses.

Advisor Breakfasts
CPE hosted a series of advisor breakfast to promote both winter and summer sessions. The winter session breakfast was held in the Campus Center. Two Breakfasts were held promoting summer: one on February 8 and the second on March 7, 2017. A total of 40 advisors, faculty, and administrators from the schools and academic departments have attended the sessions. The sessions organized by Lu(cinda) Butler, CPE Advisor, presented information about eLearning training support for both students and instructors, financial aid, registration, and course offerings. It also afforded an exchange of ideas regarding additional programming needs.
