Sustainable Entrepreneurship

Do you have a commitment to sustainable living?
Do you want to start or be part of a sustainable small business?

Enroll in one or all of the following courses from the UMass Amherst Sustainable Entrepreneurship Series (scheduling of courses may vary from semester to semester):

  • UWW 397A: Introduction to Sustainable Entrepreneurship (online)
  • UWW 397E:  Funding Sustainable Enterprises (online)
  • BDIC 397A: Introduction to Entrepreneurship (face-to-face)
  • BDIC 397B: Leadership and Networking (face-to-face)
Who should enroll?
  • Business students with a desire to learn about sustainable business practices
  • Current business owners interested in learning how to become sustainable
  • People who want to start green businesses but need skills and knowledge to get started and market their product
You will learn:
  • Triple bottom line accounting: People/Planet/Profit
  • How to develop and refine a new sustainable business plan
  • How to evaluate and green your current business
  • Measures to reduce environmental impact and contain costs
  • Techniques for pitching to venture capitalists and angel investors

Credits earned may be applied to the University Without Walls Sustainable Entrepreneurship degree completion program.
