Immerse yourself in cutting-edge, hands-on design/build projects while earning college credit.* The Sustainable Design/Build programs at Yestermorrow are off-campus study programs. The Summer Session in Design/Build (June - mid-August) is an opportunity for up to 10 students to hone their skills in architectural design and construction through advanced topics that bridge the classroom and the jobsite, concept and reality, academics and practice. Working in collaboration with a community partner, participants will have the unique opportunity to design and propose, through various levels of planning, a capacity-building vision that will allow a change-making agency to flourish. Participants will also gain hands-on building experience as they begin construction on a small part of that larger project. (Two graduate level classes - open to undergraduates, as well.) Fall Semester in Sustainable Design/Build (mid-August - early December) at Yestermorrow will immerse up to 16 students in the hands-on collaborative process of designing and building an architecturally innovative high performance building. Under the guidance of Yestermorrow's expert faculty, students explore the theory of sustainable design and acquire and apply the technical skills required to turn a carefully considered design into a successful structure. (Five undergraduate level courses.) Application Process Students interested in these programs must first apply through Yestermorrow. Once accepted:
