Online Certificate in Casino Management
Our Hospitality and Tourism Management program is ranked one of the top 10 internationally and enjoys longstanding industry ties that are critical for student placement, support and reputation. Whether you’re new to the industry or trying to upgrade your skills to advance into supervisory and managerial positions, this six-month online program equips you with the essential understanding you need to operate a casino, including the legal and regulatory aspects of gaming and the casino industry’s relationship to the overall tourism environment.
Admission: Students should have a high school degree or General Equivalency Diploma. Our online certificate programs are not designed for students who are currently enrolled in or have graduated from our bachelor degree program.
Application: Those who wish to enroll in the Casino Management certificate program should submit a completed application form found at http://www.isenberg.umass.edu/apps/u/HTM_Certificate_Application.php. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and there is no fee to apply. Upon acceptance, notification will be emailed to student.
Format: All courses are offered online through Continuing & Professional Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Required Curriculum: (subject to change): Students must take the five courses listed below. This certificate requires students to take a total of 15 credits in five courses (3 credits per course). Students may also take courses without pursuing the certificate.

Certificate Requirements: The certificate is awarded to students completing the required five courses with a passing grade in each course of a "C" or better. All courses must be taken through UMass Amherst, Continuing & Professional Education. The student must complete all required certificate courses within 2 calendar years from the date of admission.
Certification process: Upon meeting the requirements, the student must submit a certificate completion form to have their transcript audited by the program director.
