A one-credit program for first-year students entering UMass Amherst

Learn the skills that lead to success in college, move in to your dorm early, and earn 1 credit!

Like most entering students, you may have many questions and concerns about your future college experience, such as: How can I succeed academically? How can I become involved on campus? What major should I choose? How can I meet people and make friends? What are the resources that UMass offers? How do I find the information about campus that I need?

Power Up for College Success is designed to help answer these and many other questions.

Students participate in small classes of no more than 25 students, receiving personal attention and individual feedback.

This class fills up quickly, so register early!

Credit: 1 credit

Total fee: $595. Receive a $30 discount if you register by July 2, 2010. Includes one academic credit, textbook, supplies, t-shirt, one dinner, two breakfasts, ice-cream social, and non-refundable registration fee of $45. Does not include housing cost of $25 per day for three days. Other meals may be taken on campus; you will be billed for them through your Bursar account.
