If you are eligible to self-enroll through SPIRE, you must have a Continuing & Professional Education (C&PE) enrollment appointment before you can do so. See below for term specific information.

Fall/Spring: Only matriculated graduate students may use self-enrollment to enroll in C&PE classes in the Fall and Spring terms. C&PE automatically assigns enrollment appointments for these terms for all students eligible to self-enroll. To view C&PE enrollment appointments, go to Enrollment>C&PE Enroll Appointment on the left-panel menu in SPIRE. All other students should register directly through Continuing & Professional Education. Summer/Winter: Matriculated graduate and undergraduate students may use SPIRE to self-enroll in C&PE classes once they have an enrollment appointment for the appropriate term. To request an appointment, go to  Enrollment>C&PE Enroll Appointment on the left-panel menu in SPIRE. All other students should register directly through Continuing & Professional Education. Please be aware that C&PE classes are not included in your tuition. The class fees and registration fee are an additional charge. The notes section in the class listings in SPIRE lists the per credit fee for the class plus there is a $45/term non-refundable registration fee.

Waivers should be submitted to the Continuing & Professional Education Business Office prior to registering on SPIRE. For more information.

C&PE’s Refund Schedule is different from university-scheduled classes. Check the Refund Policy before registering for C&PE classes in SPIRE. If you drop a class after the 100% refund period you will not be credited for the full cost of the class even if you add a different class or a different section of the same class. The registration fee is non-refundable.

Billing and payment is handled through the university Bursar's office. For more information go to the Bursar web site.

Some C&PE classes are restricted. If you get an error registering for a class that you think you should be able to enroll in, please contact the Continuing & Professional Education Registration Office for assistance in enrolling – This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
