To save time, consider registering for your class(es) directly in SPIRE.  By registering in SPIRE instead of through this website, you are immediately enrolled in the class or can find out if the class is full or has been recently cancelled.  When you register through this website (UMassULearn.net), your registration is put into SPIRE by our registration staff.  Although we make every effort to process your registraton request by the following business day, we do occasionally experience heavy registration periods which may delay the processing of your registration by up to 5 days. 

The following students are eligible to register themselves in SPIRE:

Summer/Winter: Undergraduate and graduate students matriculated in a degree program (including those in Continuing & Professional Education (CPE)-administered degree programs).

How? To request an enrollment appointment, go to Enrollment>CPE Enroll Appointment from the Main Menu in SPIRE. For a quick visual guide on how to self-enroll please see this pdf.

Fall/Spring: Graduate students matriculated in a degree program (including those in CPE-administered degree programs).  CPE enrollment appointments are automatically assigned by the Graduate School.  

Undergraduate student matriculated in a degree program administered by CPE, such as UWW, BBA online, HTM online, RN-BS, 2^nd bachelor's in Nursing, BGS.

All non-degree and undergraduate students in regular (not CPE) University-based majors should register directly through Continuing & Professional Education.

Please be aware that charges for CPE classes are not included in your tuition. The notes section in the class listings in SPIRE reflects the per credit fee for each class.  There is also a $45/term non-refundable registration fee.

Waivers:  Submit to the University Bursar's Office, Attn: CPE, before the end of Add/Drop.  For more information.

NOTE:  CPE’s refund schedule is different from university-scheduled classes. Check the Refund Policy before registering for CPE classes in SPIRE.
